And then he was taken down by his brothers, sold as a slave, went to prison and years later a meteoric rise to 2nd in command over Egypt... all directed by the hand of God.     God asked Isaac to sacrifice His covenant son as worship. Abraham accurately reasoned that since God asked him to do this, God was going to raise Isaac from the dead.  His faith had radically matured over the 35+ years.  As deeply as Abraham loved Isaac... God loved them both more.  Never forget that God loves you more than...
